The inspiration for this song came from Jesus’s prayer for his future disciples: that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. (Jn. 17:-21-23).

Jesus prayed that the whole Body of Christ would be one like the Father and the Son are one. When Jesus prayed this prayer, He is also praying that we will love one another and will function as a healthy family. That we would be so moved by the way God loves us that we would love one another even in the presence of flaws. Instead of dismissing each other in the presence of flaws, we stay resilient in love, in the overflow of how God loves us. When we have this kind of love for one another, then the world will know about Jesus and they will know that He loves them. Also, when the Church reaches this level of love and unity, the Church will be unstoppable. Matthew 16:18-19 Jesus says “the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
